Hilary and Chris both live in my hometown of Toledo, Ohio – so when they flew to Scottsdale for a wedding I was thrilled they allowed me to capture some engagement photos! Hilary and I both worked at the same tack shop and know each other from riding horses (she is an awesome rider!). Her mom is also an accomplished equestrian and her parents live here in Arizona for part of the year.

I had a few new spots I wanted to try and Hilary and Chris were more than willing to brave the cactus and rocky terrain to get the perfect shots! They are one of those couples that you just KNOW are perfect together and will live happily ever after! Especially after you hear the story of how Chris asked Hilary…

On September 30 Hilary said she woke up to her best friends with notes leading her to Starbucks, a nail salon, lunch with friends, and finally her mom’s backyard where Chris had decorated everything. I saw pictures…. it was totally Pinterest worthy! Of course she said yes and celebrated with her family and friends who were waiting in hiding. Hilary told me it was “like a fairytale!”

Hilary and Chris I am so excited for your future together as Mr. & Mrs.! Next time you are in town we will have to view the mountains from the back of a horse! I wish you all the best!
