I can’t believe that in a little over a week my BABY SISTER is getting MARRIED! Ben has already been a part of the family for years but I’m so excited that it will be official! They’ve planned an amazing destination wedding in Siesta Key and a week from today we will all be on the beach! When Ben and Katie came out to Arizona for New Year’s, Ben confided in me that he had the ring and wanted to ask Katie to marry him – he just didn’t know how to ask her! The day before, Katie and I saw hot air balloons flying around our house and she mentioned she wanted to fly in one someday. I told Ben I had the PERFECT idea!

The next day was New Year’s Eve, so instead of going to dinner like we had planned, we dropped off Katie and Ben so they could get in their very first hot air balloon! Katie was so surprised – and confused! I told them I was going to park the car but we left them to go on their adventure. Payton and I were patiently waiting by our phones so we could hear the news! Finally Katie sent me the most gorgeous photo of Ben proposing in the balloon over the Arizona sunset! (They had a great guide who got the shot!) We celebrated with champagne and a party as we rung in the New Year!

Since I decided to bring Jett back to Ohio for a while before we leave for the wedding, I thought it would be a perfect time to get some engagement photos of Katie and Ben. I passed this beautiful field on my way home and it had the most GORGEOUS golden hour glow! I even found a little farmer’s stand where you can pick your own flowers and they really pulled these pictures together! We had a lot of fun even through the humidity, but the best part was getting some time to spend with just the two of them. Just watching the way their personalities complement each other made my heart happy! They are ALWAYS smiling!

Katie, you are going to make the most BEAUTIFUL bride! And Ben, you are one lucky guy! I love you both and I can’t wait for your big day!!!
